Our highly trained service dogs are trained to assist individuals with various tasks to help mitigate the impact of PTSD.
FRSD does not train seizure, diabetic, guide, autism service dogs at this time. Please visit Assistance Dogs International’s website to find an organization that fits your needs.
It’s hard to express how grateful I am to Martha. She has become a trusted training partner, advocate and dear friend as she has single handedly molded Tugboat into an incredible psychiatric and PTSD service dog. I don’t trust my dogs with anyone but when I met Martha, I just knew — she got it. She understood how spectacular dogs are and how to harness their joy to build a life-saving team. She treats my girl like family with love and deep kindness the whole time. Foliage Retrievers Service Dogs was founded with the mission of serving disabled individuals that are currently underserved by service dog organizations. We feel strongly that service dogs are life-changing. Access to service dogs should not be limited based on the type of disability.

My name is Martha, and I am the President and founder of Foliage Retrievers Service Dogs. I founded FRSD after learning that despite having multiple debilitating chronic illnesses and a diagnosis of PTSD, I was ineligible for a service dog from most organizations.
